Tampa's Japanese Summer Festival (Natsumatsuri)
from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Shelter 121 in Lowry Park. The Natsumatsuri
is a community event that recreates Japanese summer festivals like you might
find in rural villages in Japan. It's a real community event where people
who live in the area and have a connection to Japanese culture come
together. It includes traditional matsuri games like kingyo sukui,
wanage, yoyosukui, and many others. It also has fresh food being
prepared: kakigouri, watermelon, and okonomiyaki. Everyone is
invited to wear yukata and jinbei. <Flier> |
